Team, business profile and settings

Settings holds everything about your workspace: the business details your automations and AI drafts rely on, the people on your team and the channels you’ve connected. Most sections take a few minutes to fill in.

What each Settings section does

Business profile

Your business name, what you do, location, contact details and opening hours, plus business knowledge for AI answers. Booking and suggested replies read from here.

Channels

Connect, activate, disconnect or remove Instagram accounts. Facebook and WhatsApp are coming soon.

Team

Invite teammates and set their role. Your plan sets how many seats you have.

Notifications

Choose which updates reach you in the app and by email.

Customer emails

Edit the booking confirmation, reminders and follow-ups, or turn any of them off.

Billing & subscription

Your plan, payment method and invoices, through Stripe.

Account

Your own login and security, plus tokens for connecting an AI assistant over MCP.

Preferences

Your language and time zone.

The business profile feeds booking, Inbox drafts and, on paid plans, the business assistant.

Business profile and knowledge

Askenly’s AI only uses what you write here, your services and your saved answers. A complete profile means better Inbox drafts and fewer chats handed to you. Opening hours also set your booking availability, so update them before a holiday.

Business knowledge, on paid plans, holds up to 12,000 characters of extra detail: parking, aftercare, delivery areas, what’s included in a package. Read website copies the text of a public homepage into the box so you can edit it. The business assistant answers from it, and anything it doesn’t cover goes to a person.

Invite a teammate

  1. Open Settings → Team

Press Invite and enter their email address.

  2. Choose a role

Admins can change settings, billing and the team. Members work in the Inbox, automations and content.

  3. They accept the invite

The invite link works for 7 days. They sign in or create an account with that email address and land straight in the workspace, without onboarding.

Notifications

Each one can go to the app, to your email or both. The last two are always on, because they cover your account’s safety and payments.

Account security

Askenly signs a browser out after 4 hours without activity. Automations, publishing and emails keep running on Askenly’s servers while you’re signed out. Change your password and manage MCP tokens in Settings → Account. A token can be revoked at any time, and the assistant using it loses access straight away.

Set up these first

  • Fill in your business profile and opening hours, so bookings and suggested replies use the right details.
  • Connect Instagram under Channels and check it shows as connected.
  • Review the booking emails under Customer emails, and turn off any you don’t want sent.
  • Turn on hand-off notifications, so you know when a chat needs a person.
  • Invite the teammates who answer DMs, as members unless they manage billing.

Settings questions

Can I change the workspace’s time zone?

Your own language and time zone are in Settings → Preferences. Booking times use the time zone set in Appointments → Availability.

What happens when I remove a teammate?

They lose access to the workspace straight away. Their past replies stay in the Inbox history.

Does an invited teammate need their own account?

Yes. They sign in or sign up with the email address the invite was sent to.
